Microblading
Microblading is a semi-permanent cosmetic technique that enhances or reshapes eyebrows. Our talented technicians use a special handheld tool with a row of fine needles to create small, hair-like strokes in the epidermis (top layer of the skin), depositing pigments to mimic the natural look of eyebrow hair. Out of all other permanent makeup brow services we offer at Perfection Laboratory, microblading provides the most natural and hyper-realistic results.
It can cover the gaps (hello overplucking!), create fuller, natural-looking eyebrows, and is especially great for individuals with sparse or thinning brows who don't like the look of other techniques. Please note that microblading is not suitable for oily skin.
We look forward to meeting you at our Downtown or Midtown Toronto locations for your Microblading service.
To achieve the best results, a touch-up in 1-3 months is highly recommended! Once the brows are fully healed, we recommend coming back for a touch-up (not included in the price of an initial appointment) in 1-3 months to perfect the final look. During touch-up sessions, we can work on details, alter the shape and color of your tattoo or decide to go with a bolder color. Sometimes, we need to fill in sparse spots that don't retain pigment, as well as other parts during healing. We focus on areas that need to be corrected.
Touch-ups are not mandatory. However, 80% of our clients still choose to get the first touch-up to achieve the desired result. Touch-ups will also add longevity to the life of your tattoo.
The whole service includes the consultation, pre-draw, numbing, actual procedure, and aftercare instructions and might take up to 2,5 hours.
With a gentle technique and topical numbing, our clients are amazed by the virtually painless experience during the procedure and the quick and easy healing process.
Once you arrive we will discuss your preference and find the right shape and style for your eyebrows that match your facial features best. The technician will also recommend if the technique you chose is best for your skin type and brow hair.
Consultation might take up to 10-15 min
The technician will pre-draw the shape, thickness, and arch to your liking with a makeup pencil and won't start the procedure until you are 100% satisfied with the shape. We will also recommend the best color taking into account your skin tone, skin type, and undertones. In case we can't find the perfect match from 50+ different shades of brown we have, the artist will be able to create a custom color mix and track it for a future touch up.
Takes between 15-45min
Once the shape and color have been chosen, the technician will start the procedure and apply the numbing gel. We use a powerful 4% lidocaine for numbing so the majority of our clients report minimal to no pain at all during the procedure. Numbing starts working in 2-3 minutes and can be reapplied if needed.
The artist will begin using a specially-made tool to delicately scratch the brow pigment into the skin, strand by strand. The pigment is applied to the brow design and hair strokes become saturated with pigment mimicking the look of real hair. The procedure is very topical. Brow hair DOES NOT have to be removed for this procedure.
The process takes between 30-90 minutes depending on each particular case.
Finally, when the microblading procedure is complete we talk about the immediate and long-term aftercare and recommend how to maintain the results for longer. You will receive an aftercare kit to take home.
In 80% of cases, the touch-up procedure is needed in 1-3 months (not included in the cost of the initial procedure as not everyone will need it). Our body tries its best to reject any foreign substance and that's why not all the ink deposited will retain once healed. Some people might retain 90% of the color, while others retain only 50%. It is up to you if you want to get a touch-up or not and can be determined once the brows are healed in a couple of weeks after the initial procedure. Feel free to book your microblading touch-up appointment in one of our convenient locations: Downtown or Midtown Toronto.

01
Eyebrows will appear darker and bolder
For the first 7-10 days due to natural scabbing and healing. This is very common for all permanent cosmetic procedures. The color might lighten 20-50%.
02
First 4 days after the procedure follow these instructions every 4 hours:
Clean the area with warm water (tap water is fine) and a cotton pad and allow to air dry, then apply a very thin layer of ointment(will be provided)
Picking the scabs can cause scarring and color loss.
03
Let any scabbing or dry skin naturally exfoliate off.
04
Avoid these mistakes
Avoid sleeping on your face for the first 10 days, sleep on the clean pillowcase.
Avoid heavy sweating for the first 10 days.
NO facials, Botox, chemical treatments, and microdermabrasion for 4 weeks.
NO cleansers, creams, makeup, or any other products on the treated area for 10 days.
DO NOT rub, pick or scratch the treated area.
Avoid direct sun exposure or tanning for 2 weeks after the procedure.
Once the brows are healed in 7-14 days you should apply 30+ SPF on them to avoid fading.
Use 30+ SPF sunscreen on your eyebrows if you plan to be in the sun for prolonged periods. Sun exposure will fade your permanent cosmetics.
If you are planning a chemical peel or a laser procedure, please inform the technician of your permanent cosmetics.
How to maximize colourretention for longer?
The use of Retin A / Tretinoin or any other rapid skin exfoliation products regularly on the forehead area will cause the permanent makeup on the eyebrow area to fade prematurely.
Annual touch-ups are recommended to maintain the look. You can book an appropriate touch-up in Downtown or Midtown Toronto locations between 1 month to 2.5 years from the date of the last appointment. After 2.5 years a new procedure should be booked.
The use of chemical peels and acid peels regularly on the forehead region can also cause eyebrow tattoos to fade prematurely.

Brow lamination is the trendiest brow service in Toronto and all over Canada. It is a gentle chemical perm that straightens and reshapes brow hairs and gives you that fuller, fluffier look without the need to use strong styling products. Brow lamination makes your brows appear thicker and fuller without actually adding any hairs.
When performed properly, Brow Lamination should never damage the natural brow hairs. That's why it's crucially important to ensure your artist is properly trained.
All our technicians are highly skilled with years of experience in Brow Lamination. All technicians understand the chemistry of the process in depth and will ensure that the solution is left on your brows for an optimal duration of time, achieving the desired effect without causing any damage to the hair.
Brow lamination can last anywhere between 4 and 8 weeks, depending on the pace of your brow hair growth cycle. The brow lamination process involves restructuring the internal bonds of your brow hair, so it stays in that direction until the hair naturally sheds, making room for new growth. Typically, it takes about 2 to 3 months for the body to replace all brow hairs.
No, Brow Lamination itself is pain-free! However, some people with more sensitive skin might experience a very slight tingling or stinging sensation for a few minutes when the solutions are on.
Brow Lamination is NOT recommended for clients with:
- eczema or any other condition that causes compromised skin in the brow area.
- acne or other open sores in the brow area
- someone who got a chemical peel done in a recent week
- someone with very coarse or trimmed brows
who experienced an allergic reaction or sensitivity in the past to hair perm, lash lift, or ammonium thioglycolate.
Please note: For someone with very thin over-plucked brows Brow Lamination might not give the desired look and we highly encourage you to send us the picture of your brows with no make-up to info@perfectionlaboratory.ca before scheduling an appointment.
No, brows are not glued to your skin and can move freely after the brow lamination. We will provide you with a brush and you would have to comb your. brows in the desired direction whenever needed (when you wake up, after taking a shower or getting your face wet, or after rubbing them). To minimize the daily brushing you can simply use a clear brow jel to set them in place for the entire day!
